Welcome to Newton Abbot Art Group

Formed on 1973, NAAG is a friendly local art club whose aim is to support and      encourage individual development in the practice of art in a variety of media. Everyone is welcome to join our group, irrespective of age, ability and experience. Whether you are a complete beginner, an improver or have many years of practice, there are always new and exciting challenges in the world of art.

Our weekly studio sessions held on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings provide an opportunity to get together and practice art, being both social and learning occasions.  During the summer and autumn months, we also hold regular outdoor sketching days. We also hold four to five all-day Saturday workshops during the year, lead by local artists covering a variety of media.

We usually hold at least one Art Exhibition a year, possibly two. This year we have held our 2024 Spring Exhibition at Newton's Place, Newton Abbot, when we exhibited over 100 paintings by 30 member artists, and will be holding a second exhibition at TAAG, Teignmouth from 5th to 11th October.
